Callow Top Holiday Park

04/06/2016
This weekends trip was to Callow Top park at Ashbourne Derbyshire, just a short trip as are granddaughters wanted  a sleepover in the camper.

Everything about the site is professional and streamlined which is not everybody's cup of tea. The entertainment was very good Saturday night an outside disco till about 10:30 which did not cause a problem for the grand kids all fast asleep by 20:00. The site is quite large with statics, cottages, caravans, motor homes and  Tents.

The site provides a restaurant and bar with take away avalible of everything on the menu and a large store for all those other things.

There is direct access to the  tissington trail   from there  and bikes and associated  equipment are available to hire from the site.
Dogs are allowed so Daisy was as usual along for  the ride there did seem to be a shortage of waste bins for  Daisy do though, lots of dogs around.

If you want a quit site this is not for you as there are loads of children on their bike and scooters.

Bessy's Second Trip Bowden;s Crest Somerset

28/05/2016
Bank Holiday and time for Bessy's second trip out this time to Somerset and
Bowden's Crest Holiday Park. The site is located in Langport and is down a single track lane with passing points. Watch the sat nav as it keeps trying to take you down narrow lanes.

Our stay there was very pleasant with the sun streaming down all day Sunday just what we needed after spending nearly seven hours on the M5\M6 due to the volume of traffic heading south.
There is a small bar on the site that serves meals and all the facilities were immaculate. Wifi is available across the site although is a bit patchy at times.

The site seemed popular with cyclists and there is plenty of room for the kids to let of steam, Dogs are welcome which is good as Daisy our Dalmatian does not like the kennels..
